Questions About Online Classes

Everything you need to know before you start.

How do online classes work at Fairyan?

Our online classes are conducted live via video call — one-on-one or in small groups of up to 4 students. Your instructor sees and hears you in real time, giving corrections, demonstrations, and encouragement just as they would in person. You'll need a stable internet connection, your instrument, and a device with a camera.

Is online learning as effective as in-person lessons?

Yes — when done right. At Fairyan, online classes follow the exact same structured curriculum as our in-centre sessions. Our instructor, Noel Jayakumar, has personally taught hundreds of students online with measurable results, including Trinity London grade exam passes.

What instruments can I learn online?

You can learn Keyboard, Guitar, or Violin online. All three are well-suited to live video instruction, and our curriculum is specifically designed to work in an online format.

Can I appear for Trinity London grade exams if I take online classes?

Absolutely. Trinity London grade exams can be taken at approved centres near you. We prepare you fully — theory, technique, and repertoire — regardless of whether your classes are online or in-centre.

What are the batch timings for online classes?

Online batches run at 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:30 PM on your chosen days. We also offer flexible scheduling for working adults and students with school commitments.

Is there a trial session I can take before committing?

Yes. We offer a free trial lesson for all new students — online and in-centre. Simply fill out the enrollment form and we'll call you within 24 hours to schedule your first session.

Do I need any special equipment for online classes?

You'll need your instrument (keyboard, guitar, or violin), a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. A quiet room with good lighting helps your instructor see your posture and hand position clearly.

Are online classes available for children?

Yes. We teach children from age 9 and above online. For younger children, we recommend a parent or guardian to be nearby during the first few sessions to help with setup and focus.
